History
Grandjean & Wagner, Inc. was formed in 1990 by two accountants,
Reginald Grandjean and Steven Wagner, Central New York natives.
Prior to forming the company, Reg and Steve held positions at larger
local accounting firms. At these firms their typical clientele were
larger area businesses. Reg and Steve began to notice a trend in
the industry as accounting firms tended to shy away from the "Smaller"
clients by focusing their attention on the "Larger" clients
that did a great deal of business. Realizing the demand of the market
and having the basic desire to work with the "Smaller"
clients, Reg and Steve resigned from their positions and formed
Grandjean & Wagner, Inc. Their mission was to help deliver success
to individuals and small to medium-sized businesses by providing
an exceptional level of service and focus on each client's unique
needs.
At the onset, our company was comprised of just Reg, Steve, and
one assistant between them. In 2001 we formed a sister company,
ChoicePay Inc., in order to meet the payroll needs of our target
market - small to mid-sized businesses. ChoicePay follows the same
mission as Grandjean & Wagner, Inc. by providing exceptional
value to those businesses who had become just a number with the
larger payroll companies.
Combined, Grandjean & Wagner, Inc. and ChoicePay, Inc. have
grown into a 15 employee team with a wide range of expertise - large
enough to tap into a wide range of resources, yet small enough to
fullfill our mission by meeting the unique needs of the clients
we serve. We currently serve over 4,000 clients who may include
your friends, relatives, and many familiar local businesses.
